De House

Life is going to be consumed by this house of ours. Digging deeper, we are finding out that there is a lot of potential buried beneath some of things that have been done, poorly, before. That plus unexpected expenses will make this a very costly 2 to 3 month period, and then things will settle down.

We had the house fully inspected, and it checked out just fine, so it really comes down to the cosmetics. That can take as long as need be, but who wants to live in a house that cosmetically irks you every time you enter a room? There are holes in every wall everywhere, paint jobs gone wrong at every turn, and now a dysfunctional dish washing machine that only works if there are no dishes or soap in it. Naturally we were told that all the appliances worked fine, and they certainly looked new.

Well, so much more to do, and I guess I will need to find more time. Perhaps another vacation. Catarina has already gotten hers: first three weeks in August. I can only hope to have the same (hardly likely).
